Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan is extending his stay with Blackpool.

The Mirror says Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has agreed a deal with Aston Villa to keep Bannan at Bloomfield Road until the end of the season.

The midfielder is currently back with the Midlands club receiving treatment on a broken toe but should be fit in two to three weeks.
