Blackpool demand £6M for Everton target Adam

Blackpool have slapped a £6 million price-tag on midfielder Charlie Adam.

The Daily Record says Adam, who scored 19 goals, was the inspiration behind the Seasiders' shock promotion to the Premiership and is interesting Everton boss David Moyes.

The midfielder moved to Bloomfield Road for just £500,000 from Rangers last summer on a three-year contract with a 12-month option.

But his value has rocketed and he was the target of an unsuccessful £3m bid from Middlesbrough gaffer Gordon Strachan in January.

Despite now being in the top flight Blackpool face a fresh battle to hold on to him this summer and will only sell if their asking price is met.
