Blackpool's players and manager are to be given a civic medal by the town's council, following the football club's promotion to the Premier League, reports BBC Sport. The Seasiders beat Cardiff in the play-off final at Wembley last month to secure their place in the top flight.
Councillors voted unanimously to award the Blackpool Medal to Ian Holloway and his team, a council spokesman said.
Council leader Councillor Peter Callow said they wanted to mark the "fantastic achievement".
He added: "The Blackpool Medal was created to honour those who have made a key contribution to the town on a local or national level.
"There can be no worthier recipients than the team who gave this town a Premiership football team."
The medal will be presented to the team at a pre-season game, the council said.
