Blackpool boss Ian Holloway says the fuss over last week's selection for defeat at Aston Villa was worth it thanks to Ludovic Sylvestre's performance.
The former Barcelona midfielder's performance has Holloway excited about what the player is capable of.
He said: "Some of the things Sylvestre did I would pay to watch myself - his skill and his confidence is fantastic.
"I just need to top up his fitness because he was cramping up badly towards the end at Villa, and that's why we conceded the late goal - because Sylvestre wasn't on the post for the corner.
"If he had been, he would have been able to clear the ball. But we will work with him and ensure he improves.
"You've got to remember he was playing in the Czech Republic last year and that league is totally different from ours.
"He can stroll around and pass it for fun over there and look so good that he didn't need to be as physically fit.
"In this league you need to be fit and then some. But how well did he do?
"And that's what has encouraged me this week - forget all the fuss about the number of changes, I am happier now than I was this time last week because I know I've got a very strong squad, and I can play anybody as and when I need them."
