Blackpool boss Holloway shocked by Redknapp Spurs sacking

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is shocked by Harry Redknapp's sacking by Tottenham.

Ollie wrote in the Sunday Mirror: "In any normal circumstances, finishing in the top four of the Premier League is still the stuff of dreams for a club like Spurs. Then Chelsea defy all the odds by beating Bayern Munich to become Champions of Europe.

"Welcome to the surreal world of football in the 21st century.

"Harry has said he lost his job for football reasons. If that's the case, I'd love Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to say what those reasons were.

"Because, for me, both Redknapp and Tottenham Hotspur have been victims of circumstance. Something else must have happened for the axe to fall. Perhaps we will never learn exactly what went on.

"But what I do know is that Spurs' new manager will realise that fourth place is not good enough for his employers.

"Being manager of Tottenham should be a dream job.

"I'm just sorry that, for one of the game's good guys, it turned into a nightmare."
