Blackpool boss Ian Holloway says leaving Liverpool has been the making of Thomas Ince.

The £6million-rated Ince has thrived since quitting Liverpool for Bloomfield Road 14 months ago.

"What held him back was he went to a club that had an academy and there was no way through. He got fed up with that so he came and learnt his trade," explained Holloway.

"God knows what he could do with one of their (Liverpool) shirts on now."
