Blackpool boss Holloway: Premier League can be scary

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway admits his team face a massive test at Arsenal after their opening day win against Wigan Athletic.

The Seasiders manager concedes he was worn out after a busy week of signings ahead of the Premiership kickoff.

Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette: "I think Arsenal would have taken us seriously whatever the result on Saturday and I think they will try and beat us hollow.

"They could well do that, so we've got to make sure we try to do as well as we can. That is all that matters.

"The rest of it is just talking for talking's sake, and I am sick and fed up of it to be perfectly honest. It has been a long, horrible summer and I am quite worn out. The Premier League is a great place to be but also quite a scary place to be.

"Walking out at Wigan with all those cameras flashing in my face ... I didn't like it. It got on my nerves. I don't particularly like looking at photos of myself anyway. I just want to get on with the football.

"I know this is a media-crazy world but let's just get on with the football. I am delighted the first game is behind us and we managed to get such a good result."
