Blackpool boss Holloway planning more signings

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway hopes to continue to buy in the final weeks of the summer market.

Holloway had been frustrated in his efforts to bring in new faces until he managed to sign six players last week.

The Seasiders then defied the odds with a stunning 4-0 victory away to Wigan on the opening day of the Premier League season.

Summer recruits Craig Cathcart, Marlon Harewood, Elliot Grandin and Ludovic Sylvestre all impressed but Holloway is not getting carried away and wants further reinforcements.

"It was like waiting for a bus last week and all of a sudden six players turn up. Hallelujah," he said in The Sun. "Normally the players already at a club are worried but not my lot. They welcomed them.

"We've just been catapulted into this and I have to say it's just mad. It's like being in Big Brother.

"I need a few more players but they're all so expensive - it's a shock. But hopefully my chairman will now be more confident in who I'm telling him to bring in after that performance."
