Blackpool boss Holloway: England were rabble before Capello

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway says Fabio Capello has rescued England's international reputation.

Holloway, who guided Blackpool into the Premier League this season, was typically forthright when asked to give Capello advice on how to inspire his team in South Africa.

"I don't think I need to give him any tips, he's doing an incredible job," he told the Sunday Mirror. "In fact, I would like to thank him for the discipline he has brought in.

"The way they were behaving in the last tournament was more like a rabble than a football team.

"I think every one of those players now knows if they step out of line he won't put up with it.

"Look at the discipline that Italy has shown over the years, it has won them things. Now we have it as well. At last! It's just a shame it takes an Italian to knock our players into shape."
