Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is desperate not to lose Matt Phillips after his goal in victory over Leeds United.
Despite Phillips submitting a transfer request, and attracting a £5m offer from Southampton, Holloway was adamant Blackpool would do their utmost to keep him.
"Who knows if he will still be here after the window, but my chairman (Karl Oyston) says he does not need the money and will not take it," said Holloway.
"He is refusing to speak to Southampton and is not interested in negotiating with them."
