Blackpool announce eleven players leaving

Relegated Blackpool have announced eleven players are being released.

Paul Rachubka, Richard Kingson, Marlon Harewood and Rob Edwards are among 11 players who will be released.

The changes come after a 4-2 defeat to Manchester United on the final day of the season condemned the Seasiders to life in the Championship.

And boss Ian Holloway confirmed the other names to depart the club include long-serving right-back Danny Coid, Malaury Martin, Jason Euell, David Carney, Andy Reid, Salaheddine Sbai and Ishmel Demontagnac.

New contracts for the club's forthcoming Championship season have been offered to Matt Gilks, defender Stephen Crainey, Players' Player of the Year David Vaughan and striker Brett Ormerod.

Along with Charlie Adam, those with options for a further 12 months are Keith Southern, Neal Eardley, Ian Evatt, Billy Clarke, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Louis Almond.
