Tyler Blackett has landed an astonishing pay increase just 10 games into his Manchester United career.
The 20-year old defender signed a new contact on Thursday which will see him remain at Old Trafford until at least the summer of 2017 and it is believed that he has agreed to heavily improved terms.
The Daily Mail suggests that Blackett's weekly salary has jumped from £2000 to £20,000 in what is a lucrative extension for the youth academy product.
Blackett, who has nine Premier League appearances to his name, has been with the Red Devils since he was a youngster while taking in loan spells at Blackpool and Birmingham City in the past few years.
Of his new deal, the Manchester-born England U21 international told the club's official website: "I'm thrilled to have signed my new contract. I have supported United all my life and have been here since I was eight years old.
"To come through the Academy and make my debut this season was a dream come true. I want to keep improving within the first-team squad with the help of the manager, coaches and the players around me."
