Blackburn's Simpson wants Man Utd future

Blackburn Rovers loan signing Danny Simpson admits he sees his long-term future at parent club Manchester United.

"Last year, I got a few games because Gary Neville was injured," said Simpson. "But Gary is back now and coming to Blackburn is a good opportunity for me to go out and get a few games and learn my trade.

"I don't think there's any guarantee of playing every week.

"But as long as I'm training hard, and showing the gaffer what I can do, then hopefully I will get my chance. It's up to me to take it.

"I'm still contracted to Manchester United - it's the club I support and I would love to play for them for the rest of my career.

"But I'm at Blackburn Rovers at the moment, and I want to develop and become a better player while I'm here."
