Blackburn's Savage calls on Toshack to resign

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage has once again criticised Wales manager John Toshack and called for him to resign.

The 32-year-old has not played for Wales since Toshack took over three years ago with his last appearance coming in the home defeat to Poland.

It was reported that Toshack contemplated his future as Wales boss after Saturday's defeat against Cyprus before deciding to stay on but Savage has urged him to go.

The former Birmingham City star told BBC 5live: "I honestly feel that Wales are going nowhere.

"John's been in the job three years and he said to judge him after the European qualifying campaign and we're second from bottom.

"You've got players like John Oster and Danny Collins playing regularly in the Premier League and they can't get in the squad. It's amazing."
