Blackburn Rovers strike-ace Roque Santa Cruz admits he could easily have been playing for today's opponents Manchester City if they had shown more interest.
Mark Hughes swooped to net Santa Cruz, 26, for £3.3million from Bayern Munich instead.
The Paraguayan revealed: "I heard there was interest but I never got around to talking to anyone from Manchester City and I must say I'm having a good time where I am now."
Santa Cruz has already hit two goals in just three games for his new club.
And he added: "Everything is going as I want now. I just want to keep going the way I am now, be healthy for the whole season and score as many goals as I can."
