Blackburn captain Ryan Nelsen requires time out to recover from a troublesome hamstring injury.
Blackburn Rovers will have to do without captain Ryan Nelsen for a few more weeks after the defender suffered a reoccurrence of his hamstring problem.
A scan carried out earlier this week revealed that there is still a problem, but that it will require rest rather than surgery.
"I've been told the scans have shown up what's called a bone projection, which is aggravating the tendon, but nothing that points to an operation," said Rovers chairman John Williams.
"The preferred treatment is rest and I think we're probably talking about a couple of weeks."
