He told the Lancashire Evening Post: "At the moment I am just concentrating on playing these next two games for Preston. Alan Irvine has spoken to me and said he has tried to get hold of Mark Hughes. Hopefully we will have something sorted either way soon.
"But I just want to play football. And if that is not going to be at Blackburn, then hopefully it will be somewhere else - and that is including here as well. I am not one of those people who shy away from a challenge. I have helped Preston get in this situation because I have been here almost from the beginning of the season. And I am willing to help them get out of it.
"Of course I would consider extending the loan to help the team out.
"But if it is not to be then there is nothing I can do. That's up to Mark Hughes.
"If he says I can come back on loan, then I don't see why not. I'd love to stay here."
