Blackburn Rovers fullback Pascal Chimbonda has been banned six months from driving.
The Daily Mail says Chimbonda, from Loughton, Essex, was clocked speeding on the A1 near Newark, Nottinghamshire, in October 2008 and again on the A19 near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, in January this year.
Northallerton Magistrates Court was told that under the "totting up" rules he had more than 12 points on his licence and was over the threshold for a driving ban.
Chimbonda, 30, who did not appear in court and was not legally represented, will also have to pay £2,185 in fines and court costs for the two offences.
