Blackburn's Allardyce content with point against Chelsea

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce was disappointed his side went behind early in the match against Chelsea but was content that they fought back to grab a point at Ewood Park on Sunday.

The Rovers fell behind when Didier Drogba struck in the 6th minute but El-Hadji Diouf cancelled out the earlier striker with twenty minutes remaining to give Allardyce’s men a handy point against one of the title challengers.

“It was really disappointing to go behind after a promising start,” he told Sky Sports 1.

"But then we held out well without really creating much quality in the final third.

"We put that right in the second half with the goal.

“I was really pleased with the second-half performance and deserved the draw in the end."
