Blackburn Rovers youngster David Hoilett has impressed at his loan club so much that they want to extend his contract.

German second division club St Pauli are keen to have the Canadian teenager at the club for a longer stint and have contacted the Rovers in regards to the 18-year olds future.

"We are still positive," club director Helmut Schulte told Hamburger Abendblatt.

"We are in touch with Blackburn Rovers concerning David's future."
