Blackburn willing to release Chimbonda from contract

Blackburn Rovers are ready to release defender Pascal Chimbonda from his contract.

Chimbonda has not featured since their 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United in November and was set to sign with West Ham United on transfer deadline day in August before being recalled.

Blackburn paid £2m for the former Wigan player in summer 2009.

Clubs from Turkey and France are interested in Chimbonda.
