Blackburn Rovers are looking to snap up Liverpool youngster Charlie Barnett.

The 18-year-old had been training with Newcastle as a string of clubs consider a move for the highly-rated midfielder.

However, he has now linked up with Rovers as Mark Hughes casts his eye over the youngster who has helped Liverpool to consecutive FA Youth Cups.

Barnett played for Rovers' reserves against Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday.
