Blackburn thrashing out terms with Monaco defender Mongongu

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is closing in on AS Monaco defender Cedric Mongongu.

Kean will be hoping to speak to Mongongu early next week as the club look to secure their first signing of the summer, says the Lancashire Telegraph.

Rovers have already made an official approach for the player with Monaco expected to accept a bid in the region of £2.5million.

Personal terms though have yet to be discussed and Kean will hope to start persuading Mongongu Ewood Park is the right place for him upon his return from a pre-season training camp in Austria this week.
