Blackburn Rovers target Robert Lewandowski has been likened to Dutch legend Johan Cruyff.

A move to Ewood Park is back on for Lewandowski after his Polish club Lech Poznan failed to agree terms with Borussia Dortmund over a fee for the striker.

Poland coach Franciszek Smuda said of the 21 year-old: "Lewandowski reminds me of Johan Cruyff in his younger years."

However, despite Blackburn's interest, Smuda would prefer to see the youngster move to Dortmund.

"It would be good for Polish football," he added. "He sees himself already playing for Borussia Dortmund. That to me is positive."
