Blackburn Rovers are set for talks with Chile captain Claudio Maldonado over a £1million move.
Midfielder Maldonado, 28, has 39 caps for his country and has recently won the title in Brazil with Santos.
The Brazilian side have given Maldonado permission to join up with Rovers.
