Bordeaux midfielder Alou Diarra is being linked with a return to England.

The former Liverpool trainee could be on the move with Bordeaux losing coach Laurent Blanc to the France national team.

The Times says Diarra has attracted interest from Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland. He spent two years at Liverpool without playing a competitive match and cost Bordeaux £6 million when he moved from Lyons three years ago.
