Barcelona striker David Villa has explained celebrating his record-breaking Spain goal with Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
The 29-year-old scored his 45th and 46th international goals on Friday night to help Spain come from behind to win 2-1 against the Czech Republic, surpassing Raul's mark of 44 in the process.
After notching the record-breaking goal, the Barcelona striker ran to the Spain bench to celebrate with reserve goalkeeper Reina.
He explained: "The goals are dedicated to all the team-mates, all the coaches, all partners and friends I had during my career.
"But long ago I promised Jose, who is a friend of mine, that the goal which overtook Raul would be for him."
