Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has all but dismissed a move away from the English Premier League, saying he would rather remain in England than play elsewhere.

The Paraguayan has been linked with moves to several EPL clubs but Spanish giants Real Madrid are also believed to be interested.

"I would like to stay in England. I like this league. It is one of the most competitive in the world," Santa CruzRadio Primero de Mayo.

"I have nothing to do with the offers. They are made to the club and the directors deal with them and make a decision."
