Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts admits he was offered the chance of a return to Wigan Athletic.
Roberts inked a new contract with Rovers last week.
He told The Sun: "There was some interest there, they have always shown interest in me. But it is a situation that has never come to fruition.
"If there was an offer on the table it would have been a hard one. But sometimes it is best left in the past. I know Wigan are having a hard time at the moment and I do have really big feelings for the club.
"What happened at Wigan was very special and will probably never happen for me again in the way it did there.
"It was a special time and special people but you have to move on.
"It is a fantastic club and I hope they stay up and do well. It's going to be tough for them but I really hope they stay up."
