Blackburn Rovers striker Benni McCarthy fears he will be snubbed by South Africa for next year's World Cup.

"This is terrible for me. I really need to make the national team so to shine in the first World Cup on African soil," said Benni.

"I have clashed with members of the association many times in my career, but I think this is my final farewell."
