Blackburn Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf has announced his international retirement from Senegal.

The Senegalese Football Federation announced Diouf's retirement yesterday, though did not state any specific reason why the decision had been made.

Diouf has retired from Senegal once before, in October 2007, over frustration with the state of the national federation.
