Blackburn Rovers have confirmed that striker Chris Brown will be sidelined for up to six weeks.
The 29-year old forward, who joined from Doncaster Rovers in the summer, has undergone surgery on an injury he sustained in pre-season and will now be out for more than a month according to manager Gary Bowyer.
"The operation was a success so hopefully we are looking at four to six weeks," Bowyer told the club's official website.
"He's desperate to do well.
"It is disappointing for him not to have made his full debut for us yet."
Blackburn currently sit 14th on the Championship table ahead of this weekend's home fixture against 12th-placed Wigan Athletic.
