Blackburn Rovers splashed out £6 million to sign Birmingham City defender Scott Dann.

Centre-back Dann, 24, demanded an assurance he would team up with Christopher Samba before signing, amid rumours the Rovers skipper was an Arsenal target.

Dann cost an initial £6m fee that will rise to £7.5m with various add-ons.
