Blackburn skipper Samba: Home form key to survival

Blackburn Rovers captain Christopher Samba says their home form will decide their survival hopes.

After Birmingham, Manchester City, Bolton and Manchester United are still to come to Ewood this season but, having lost just seven of their last 40 home games, Samba knows there is no need to fear anyone.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "The home games are the key now. We know what we can do at home, we need the crowd to be like hell, we need us to be like we were on Saturday. Work hard, never stop and that is what we need to get the three points.

"The two draws have been really encouraging but we now need to transform those draws into wins. It has been a long time without a win now.

"Look at the league table, every point is going to count and every game is a cup final. It was an important point at Arsenal, look at the league table. Every point counts. We don't have to count on others, it is in our hands."
