Blackburn Rovers captain Ryan Nelsen says a move to PSV Eindhoven for teammate Andre Ooijer is no certainty.

Nelsen told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "If Andre does go, then that would be a great leaving present, but I think he wants to stay.

"He hasn't signed anything with another club.

"All he's doing is weighing up his options. I know Blackburn would like to keep him.

"The closer we get to safety, maybe he's more likely to stay."
