Blackburn skipper Nelsen: Next ten games decisive

Blackburn Rovers captain Ryan Nelsen admits the next ten games could decide their season.

Rovers have had a tough start to the 2009-10 season, but Nelsen is now convinced that they can get the results to see them rise up the table.

"We knew the first ten games of the season were going to be very difficult," the New Zealander told the Rovers website.

"We've got ten points and it was probably the minimum points that we needed to get.

"So now we are looking forward to the next ten games, we want to go our and obviously do a lot better.

"The first ten games were really tough, we can now look forward to the next 28!"
