Blackburn Rovers are sending an SOS to Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel.

The Daily Mail says Blackburn manager Henning Berg has been told to find a new backroom team to halt the club's slump.

Berg's assistant Eric Black, first-team coach Iain Brunskill and goalkeeping coach Bobby Mimms are all expected to be axed, with Friedel lined up to return to the club from Tottenham as player-coach next month and replace Mimms.
