Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz has been included in the Paraguay World Cup qualifying squad despite being unable to train for the past two weeks.
Paraguay meet Uruguay and Ecuador in upcoming qualifiers and coach Gerardo Martino admits that Santa Cruz may struggle to get up for either match.
"The doctor and the kinesiologist have travelled to England to talk to the club doctor and the player. We have to analyse the situation for these two matches but our main goal is how to continue in the future," Martino said.
"The chances of him playing are small but we want to know what will happen in the future, how his injury will be treated and the steps they [Blackburn and Santa Cruz] expect to make."
