Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba is confident goalkeeper Paul Robinson can return sooner rather than later to press his claims for a spot in England's World Cup squad.
Robinson injured his calf in the 3-1 loss to Tottenham and is expected to spend up to four weeks on the outer and Samba hopes he can make a quick recovery.
"I hope Paul is not out for too long. The World Cup is coming and he has to defend his chances. I hope he recovers quickly and can defend his chances," Samba said.
"We all want to see him back for us and for England. Of course he still has a chance.
"I think he definitely deserves his place for the World Cup for England. Hopefully he can come back fit and show that."
