Blackburn's Salgado enjoying Hong Kong tour

Blackburn Rovers veteran Michel Salgado says he is enjoying his time in Hong Kong.

The Spaniard is on pre-season tour with the Lancashire club and ahead of Saturday's Barclays Asia Trophy clash with Kitchee Sports Club, spoke of his delight at visiting the Asian nation for the second time.

"It is always a pleasure to be here, it is my second time in Hong Kong," said Salgado.

"The first time was in 2003 with Real Madrid, it was an Asian tour, we went to Japan, Beijing, China and Bangkok in Thailand so this is different.

"Being here for a week to play teams from the Premier League and to play against Kitchee is exciting for us.

"They are the double winners, Kitchee won their league and cup so it should be a good match.

"Hong Kong is a great city, people are always welcoming us, you can feel that they love football and they love the Premier League, so it is great to be here again."
