Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts says there is plenty of work to do to stamp out racism in football.
In the wake of recent incidents involving Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra and John Terry and Anton Ferdinand, the 33-year old believes any type of racism is not acceptable and hopes that it can be erased as quickly as possible.
"I don't think racism from anyone is acceptable in any way, shape or form," he told the 'Show Racism the Red Card' campaign.
"There are ways that humour is used to bring certain things up but I certainly don't think that race is something to be spoken about in that manner.
"It is something that is very emotive and I think it should be left alone.
"It is not okay in modern society and it is not something we should accept; it is not something that should be allowed to happen."
