Blackburn's Kean: I never said I don't care what the fans think

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean has taken the time to clear up some comments he made on the weekend.

The Scottish tactician was again targeted by a group of Rovers fans following the 2-1 home loss to Tottenham on the weekend but he feels that his words were twisted in the headline of a local newspaper.

"I was disappointed with that because there was a headline on the back of the local newspaper saying, 'I don't care what the fans think', and it's the opposite - I've never said that," he told Sky Sports News.

"What I did say post-match was that, for the protesters, I would try and put that to the back of my mind.

"But not our fans, the ones who have been positive and the travelling thousand who went down to Queens Park Rangers.

"I sent the lads down to acknowledge them and I went myself, so I'm disappointed that was the headline, because I've never said I don't care what the fans think, quite the opposite."
