Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brett Emerton has indicated that he will most likely end his playing days in Australia.
The Socceroos star has spent almost his entire career in Europe, with Feyenoord Rotterdam and Blackburn, but has suggested that perhaps he could return to his homeland when his contract at Ewood Park expires.
"We're all coming to that stage of our career where it's a possibility in the next few years," said Emerton.
"I've made no secret in the past that I'd love to come back and finish my career in Australia.
"When the time will be right, I'm not sure yet. We'll have to wait and see."
