Blackburn's Allardyce advises Khizanishvili to leave

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has advised Zurab Khizanishvili to leave the club for the benefit of his own career.

The 28-year old Georgia defender has been at Ewood Park since 2006 but recently was loaned out to Newcastle United and Reading and his future as a Blackburn player looks clouded.

He has failed to win regular first team football in the past few seasons and Allardyce believes it would be good business, for both the club and the player, to sell if the right approach came along.

"He is one to let go for our sake and for his," Allardyce told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"He has played far too little football at this club over the last two years to be wanting to stay and for us to be wanting to keep him.

"I think wherever a football club would like to take him on, we wouldn't be standing in his way.

"We would not want to loan him again. We want him to build a future for himself."
