Blackburn Rovers risk missing out on French trialist Camel Meriem.
The Mirror says Meriem is being offered a deal to stay in France with St Etienne - and will give an answer in the next week.
Ex-Monaco midfielder Meriem has been to Rovers on trial three times and boss Sam Allardyce is keen to take on the free agent for the rest of the season.
However Meriem left without signing last week and could speak to Les Verts about joining them, although he would rather have a crack at the Premier League.
