QPR have failed with a bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni.

The Sun says Steve Kean has flatly rejected QPR's bid for in-form striker Yakubu.

Blackburn boss Kean is adamant his 13-goal hitman, 29, is not for sale and knocked back the £1.5million offer.

That is the figure which can activate a get-out clause in the Yak's deal. Unfortunately for the R's, it kicks in only if Rovers are relegated.
