Blackburn Rovers refuse to give up on landing Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood.
The London Evening Standard says Spurs are believed to have turned down Blackburn's request to speak to Sherwood, who played for both clubs and now oversees the development of younger players in his role as technical co-ordinator at White Hart Lane.
Sherwood is highly regarded by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and the London club will fight hard to retain his services, yet Blackburn remain confident that Sherwood's successful career with the club - he captained them to the Premier League title in 1995 - will prove decisive.
