Blackburn owners say chairman role still to be decided

Blackburn Rovers co-owner Venkatesh Rao admits they're working on bringing in a new chairman.

Rao, who has confirmed that there are no plans to bring in extra coaching staff to assist Steve Kean having again given the Rovers boss his backing last week, says that the club are still no closer to appointing a new chairman to replace the departed John Williams.

"We are looking at it but there is nothing thus far, this is also speculation," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.

Rovers media chief Paul Agnew has been linked with the role.
