Blackburn Rovers owners admit they had to get rid of Sam Allardyce because he had too much control.

In an interview conducted in India, one of the controlling brothers Balaji Rao has let slip that it was Allardyce's profile at the club that made the new owners uncomfortable.

Rao said: "Why was Sam Allardyce sacked? No one can be bigger than the club, be it owner, fan or player.

"The club is the biggest no matter who the owner is."
