Blackburn Rovers have opened talks with Juventus for defender Leonardo Bonucci.

Bonucci only moved to Juve last summer from Bari after choosing the Turin giants ahead of rival interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

Tuttosport says Blackburn have come in for the Italy international this week after a difficult six months at Juve.

Rovers are in the market for a new centre-half with Christopher Samba expected to move to Arsenal this summer.
